I know I have fallen off. I had to go to back to work (working for pay) and my ability to check out your blog daily and faithfully has vanished. I just took a moment this Sunday to catch up because honestly, you, Huffingtonpost, and BlackProf.com, Creoleneworleans, and the Wall Street Journal are the blogs/papers I have to read to stay abreast.
Thank you for your dedication to dispensing the information, knowledge, and offering a forum on issues other media outlooks consider we, Blacks, are not interested in. (I can’t keep quiet about my excitement of your blog that I push it off on others. I hope your viewership grows.).
Thanks for enligtening me (and others) of what is happening that we have no idea is in execution. I feel empowered just typing your url.
Thanks!

I am ashamed of you, skeptical bro. You have only presented one side of the story while ignoring the public letter sent out by Obama’s pastor. He stated quite clearly and emphatically that this story was wrong, taken out of context, and misrepresented the facts. Yet, you present it as the truth without any comment or disclaimer as to the truth. Shame, shame, shame!

We’re doing some similar things and I think in the next year and a half we need to stay abreast of each other’s work. Since I’m cataloging this campaign I’m copying the Wright letter, but I’ll link it back to you and credit you with introducing it to me. Your comments are candid and factual. I am especially incensed about Bennie Thompson. Why is this guy supporting illegal immigration when Mississippi the Blackest state in the union has only one Black Democratic Congressman and no Black Senators?
Why is Jefferson Davis County allowed to keep its name? Why is the memorial to Jefferson Davis, the only President of the Confederate States of America allowed to exist? He should concern himself with these things as opposed to supporting illegal immigration. Mississippi has some of the poorest Black folks in America.
How about the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort. Black and white people who have lived in New Orleans all their lives are unemployed whilst illegals are rebuilding New Orleans. This is insanity.

Be informed about the MORMON faith! It is not just a CULT; it is worse than that. It is a FALSE RELIGION, pure and simple. The central emphasis of the Mormonism is “GODHOOD.” Every male Mormon strives to BECOME A GOD–a God who will create His own universe, his own planets and stars, his own children to dwell upon the earth.
The man who becomes God has sexual relations in His own heaven with His plural wives–thousands, even millions of them. They produce “spirit children,” who then wait their own turns to be “planted” into a womb of an earthly mother by the earthly husband’s sperms, to be born as human children, who must come to love and obey their HEAVENLY FATHER. Since the man becomes a GOD ALMIGHTY, or a “HEAVENLY FATHER,” himself, the “wives” become somewhat like goddesses, but the “wives” are never worshipped–just the male GOD is worshipped.
Click on the following link, or copy & paste it into your browser, to read Joseph Smith’s entire “Discourse”:
http://www.lightplanet.com/mormons/people/joseph_smith/follett_discourse.html
Joseph Smith, self-pronounced Prophet, Seer, and Revelator of the Mormon Religion, stated on August 15, 1844, in his “King Follett Discourse”:
“…I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see…”
“… he [God] was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did…”
“…Here, then, is eternal life—to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you, namely, by going from one small degree to another, and from a small capacity to a great one; from grace to grace, from exaltation to exaltation, until you attain to the resurrection of the dead, and are able to dwell in everlasting burnings, and to sit in glory, as do those who sit enthroned in everlasting power. And I want you to know that God, in the last days, while certain individuals are proclaiming his name, is not trifling with you or me….”
“…God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. If the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by his power, was to make himself visible,—I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form—like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man…”
“…The head God called together the Gods and sat in grand council to bring forth the world. The grand councilors sat at the head in yonder heavens and contemplated the creation of the worlds which were created at the time…”
“…In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it. When we begin to learn this way, we begin to learn the only true God, and what kind of a being we have got to worship…”
“…When we understand the character of God, and how to come to him, he begins to unfold the heavens to us, and to tell us all about it…”
“…There never was a time when there were not spirits; for they are co-equal [co-eternal] with our Father in heaven…God never had the power to create the spirit of man at all….”
Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and the subsequent “Prophets” of the MORMON CHURCH declared that because of the sin of HAM, a son of NOAH, who “looked upon his drunken father’s [NOAH’S] nakedness,” HAM was subsequently CURSED by HEAVENLY FATHER, who turned HAM’S SKIN DARK (and consequently the skin of all of HAM’S descendants). Therefore, HEAVENLY FATHER, having marked HAM and HAM’S DESCENDANTS by the darkness of their skin, to represent the darkness of their ancestor’s sin, could not enter any MORMON TEMPLE to go through the TEMPLE RITES, and—consequently–could not enter the CELESTIAL GLORY with the hope of become GODS. No person of the NEGROID RACE could be made a MORMON PRIEST, as could all other men. This rule remained in effect until the 1970’s.
MITT ROMNEY responded publicly to a personal inquiry concerning the MORMON FAITH, “I do not know the answer to your question [about the MORMON RELIGION] because I am a politician, not a theologian.” Yet, Mitt Romney had to spend at least TWO YEARS as a MORMON MISSIONARY [as a teen-ager before being married] just the same as all other MORMON young men. Most young MORMON missionaries take unto themselves a wife almost immediately after returning from their WITNESSING MISSION so that they can be “SEALED FOR TIME AND ETERNITY” inside a MORMON TEMPLE. Only family members in good standing who are also MORMONS may attend the wedding of their MORMON children.
MITT ROMNEY made a public statement recently saying, [sic.] “I cannot think of anything more horrible than polygamy.” Yet, he had a Great-Grandfather who was a polygamist. If the MORMON PROPHET says, “Jump!”, the BELIEVER will ask only, “How high?”, and then follow through with the commandment.
I suggest that you go to http://www.Google.com and type in “MORMON CHURCH BELIEFS” or “CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS - BELIEFS,” then click on links that you think will be informative. Warning: Do NOT ask a MORMON MISSIONARY a question to which a truthful answer might lead you to believe that the MORMON FAITH is not a TRUE CHRISTIAN FAITH. To do so would only bring forth a lie or a change of subject. MORMON MISSIONARIES memorize the presentations they give to the prospective candidate of their false faith. If the prospective candidate’s questions cannot be couched in pleasant and appealing terms by the MISSIONARIES, they will have a man with the title of SEVENTY [a mature male, who has been ordained an ELDER and then called to the office of a SEVENTY (i.e. missionary)] come answer your questions for you at a pre-arranged time. Mormon lay-persons do not elaborate on their faith to the uninitiated, lest the inquirer be “turned off” by the truthful reply. If you—as an “outsider”–go to the trouble to make an in-depth investigation of MORMONISM and then, subsequently, inquire of a lay-person-MORMON, you will be fed only lies. Their earnest desire to the uninitiated is to give the impression that they are truly a Christian church.

This is an amazing site, I am a 56 year old Christian, Native English Speaking Black American Inventor suffering extreme open deprivation of rights and oppression in the USA Today. It’s all because of white corporate America has stolen so much of my work worth Hundreds even billions of dollars. Our nations gun control laws are based solely on my Proposal (Insta- Check) submitted to the elder Bush in early June 1989. And this Bush administration blocked his father’s records to hide that very fact. And he is also working directly in my very open oppression and efforts to try and silence me here in Cape Coral Florida USA.
The functions on every car alarm system that makes your horn blow and the lights flash is my work/ideas, the call screening service most phone companies employ is my work. Many forms of marketing advertising on the internet was inspired by my writings in the late 90’s. There is so much out there that I a responsible for, yet I a an unknown Influential Native English Speaking Black American being openly oppressed and living in deep poverty in the United States of America Today!
There is so much I am responsible for, our government would have you think I am crazy, even use my ex-wife to back up their claim, only to cover-up this ungodly hell I live in these days and times. We have too many young men and women loosing their lives for my freedom that our government is working to deny me daily, I live in Cape Coral Florida, isolated hindered from having any friends and in poverty raising 4 young grandsons on social security disability. I have very little contact with the world around me, only friends and a girl friend in Ghana West Africa, and she have no idea of the living hell I live in. I haven’t told her because I am cut off from anyone I began to open up to, my computers are sabotaged, data deleted or made inaccessible. Black ad white even the Church has turned their backs on me, and refuse to acknowledge or open their mouth on my behalf out of fear. And politicians are either willing participants or scared to speak out on my behalf.
I expect some type of retaliation because of me simply exercising my rights here, I hate it but it is the sad life of a Native English Speaking Black America in the USA Today, where nobody seem to care that our soldiers are dieing everyday for the freedom I am being openly denied. It is a extreme major insult to them; just where is the Brave Brother’s Keeper when you truly need him???

You have to do a post on: Senator Larry Craig:
Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) was arrested in June at a Minnesota airport by a plainclothes police officer investigating lewd conduct complaints in a men’s public restroom, according to an arrest report obtained by Roll Call Monday afternoon.
Craig’s arrest occurred just after noon on June 11 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. On Aug. 8, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct in the Hennepin County District Court. He paid more than $500 in fines and fees, and a 10-day jail sentence was stayed. He also was given one year of probation with the court that began on Aug. 8.
A spokesman for Craig described the incident as a “he said/he said misunderstanding,” and said the office would release a full statement later Monday afternoon.
After he was arrested, Craig, who is married, was taken to the Airport Police Operations Center to be interviewed about the lewd conduct incident, according to the police report.
Craig’s voting record:
* Voted YES on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006)
* Voted NO on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes. (Jun 2002)
* Voted NO on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. (Jun 2000)
* Voted YES on prohibiting same-sex marriage. (Sep 1996)
* Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination by sexual orientation. (Sep 1996)

Why We Should Exit Iraq Now
By Bill Richardson, first printed in the Washington Post
Saturday, September 8, 2007
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards have suggested that there is
little difference among us on Iraq. This is not true: I am the only leading
Democratic candidate committed to getting all our troops out and doing so
quickly. In the most recent debate, I asked the other candidates how many
troops they would leave in Iraq and for what purposes. I got no answers. The
American people need answers. If we elect a president who thinks that troops
should stay in Iraq for years, they will stay for years — a tragic mistake.
Clinton, Obama and Edwards reflect the inside-the-Beltway thinking that a complete withdrawal of all American forces somehow would be “irresponsible.” On the contrary, the facts suggest that a rapid, complete withdrawal — not a drawn-out, Vietnam-like process — would be the most responsible and effective course of action. Those who think we need to keep troops in Iraq misunderstand the Middle East. I have met and negotiated successfully with many regional leaders, including Saddam Hussein. I am convinced that only a complete withdrawal can sufficiently shift the politics of Iraq and its neighbors to break the deadlock that has been killing so many people for so long.
Our troops have done everything they were asked to do with courage and
professionalism, but they cannot win someone else’s civil war. So long as
American troops are in Iraq, reconciliation among Iraqi factions is
postponed. Leaving forces there enables the Iraqis to delay taking the
necessary steps to end the violence. And it prevents us from using diplomacy
to bring in other nations to help stabilize and rebuild the country. The
presence of American forces in Iraq weakens us in the war against al-Qaeda.
It endows the anti-American propaganda of those who portray us as occupiers
plundering Iraq’s oil and repressing Muslims. The day we leave, this myth
collapses, and the Iraqis will drive foreign jihadists out of their country.
Our departure would also enable us to focus on defeating the terrorists
who attacked us on Sept. 11, those headquartered along the Pakistan-
Afghanistan border — not in Iraq. Logistically, it would be possible to
withdraw in six to eight months. We moved as many as 240,000 troops into and
out of Iraq through Kuwait in as little as a three-month period during major
troop rotations. After the Persian Gulf War, we redeployed nearly a half-
million troops in a few months. We could redeploy even faster if we
negotiated with the Turks to open a route out through Turkey.
As our withdrawal begins, we will gain diplomatic leverage. Iraqis will
start seeing us as brokers, not occupiers. Iraq’s neighbors will face the
reality that if they don’t help with stabilization, they will face the
consequences of Iraq’s collapse — including even greater refugee flows over
their borders and possible war. The United States can facilitate Iraqi
reconciliation and regional cooperation by holding a conference similar to
that which brought peace to Bosnia. We will need regional security
negotiations among all of Iraq’s neighbors and discussions of donations from
wealthy nations — including oil-rich Muslim countries — to help rebuild
Iraq. None of this can happen until we remove the biggest obstacle to
diplomacy: the presence of U.S. forces in Iraq.
My plan is realistic because it is less risky. Leaving forces behind
leaves them vulnerable. Would we need another surge to protect them? It gets our troops out of the quagmire and strengthens us for our real challenges. It is foolish to think that 20,000 to 75,000 troops could bring peace to Iraq when 160,000 have not. We need to get our troops out of the crossfire in Iraq so that we can defeat the terrorists who attacked us on Sept. 11. By hastening the peace process, the likelihood of prolonged bloodshed is reduced.
President Richard Nixon withdrew U.S. forces slowly from Vietnam — with
disastrous consequences. Over the seven years it took to get our troops out,
21,000 more Americans and perhaps a million Vietnamese, most of them
civilians, died. All this death and destruction accomplished nothing — the
communists took over as soon as we left.
My position has been clear since I entered this race: Remove all the
troops and launch energetic diplomatic efforts in Iraq and internationally to bring stability. If Congress fails to end this war, I will remove all troops without delay, and without hesitation, beginning on my first day in office.
Let’s stop pretending that all Democratic plans are similar. The American
people deserve precise answers from anyone who would be commander in chief.
How many troops would you leave in Iraq? For how long? To do what, exactly?
And the media should be asking these questions of the candidates, rather than allowing them to continue saying, “We are against the war . . . but please don’t read the small print.”

LOYOLA ACADEMY | Dad says race a factor after son kicked out for showing topless photo of girl
October 3, 2007
BY KATE N. GROSSMAN Education Reporter kgrossman@suntimes.com
A varsity high school football player at Loyola Academy who showed a picture of a topless female student to several teammates has been kicked out of school.
His father rejects the punishment, meted out last month, as unfair and is preparing a lawsuit. A rally to support 15-year-old Pierre Steel, spearheaded by the Millions More Movement and the Nation of Islam, is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the school’s Wilmette campus.
» Click to enlarge image Pierre Steel, 15, was expelled from Loyola Academy three weeks ago for showing teammates on the football team a picture of his ex-girlfriend topless.
(John J. Kim/Sun-Times)
“They just jumped the gun to keep up their North Shore image,” said the boy’s father, Ray Washington. “Pierre was wrong, most definitely, but not expulsion wrong.”
Washington says race played a role in his son’s punishment, a charge Loyola denies. Pierre is African American. The girl and other students involved are white.
“Loyola Academy bases its disciplinary measures upon the extent of misconduct and not on any other factor, including race,” the school said in a statement.
Washington says Pierre and the girl, who Pierre says had been his girlfriend for several months, were at the home of a third student on Saturday, Sept. 8. The girl took off her shirt, posed and Pierre snapped a picture on his camera phone, Washington said. On Sunday, Pierre showed the picture to a few football players on the school’s football field.
By Monday, Pierre’s parents were called to the school. Washington says the school told Pierre to turn in his football jersey and empty his locker. Then, they forced his parents to withdraw Pierre, despite Washington’s repeated requests for a hearing, he said.
Girl didn’t consent: school
A Loyola official said Pierre was asked to withdraw and his parents agreed.
The Loyola official also said the girl didn’t consent to the picture. A call to her home was not returned.
“Pierre’s showing of the inappropriate video to his classmates seriously compromised the safe learning environment that is essential for the academic success of all students,” the school statement said.
Washington says all three students present for the picture-taking should face equal punishment. Loyola said two other students were disciplined but didn’t elaborate.
Pierre’s parents have visited three potential new schools, but each wanted to know what happened at Loyola. Washington accuses Loyola of standing in the way of finding a new school for Pierre, another charge the school denies. Loyola says it hasn’t talked to any schools about Pierre’s possible enrollment.
Pierre now has been out of school for three weeks.
“I pleaded with these people that my son loves Loyola,” said Washington, a real estate developer from Deerfield. “This is like his family.”

if you are Asian American, please support Ron Paul!
affirmative action is the worse thing ever, it introduces reverse discrimination against Asian American and White American, Google reverse discrimination by yourself
Ron Paul is the only one who brave enough to stand out against the real Racist — Government
here is his words:
“In fact it is the federal government more than anything else that divides us along race, class, religion, and gender lines. Government, through its taxes, restrictive regulations, corporate subsidies, racial set-asides, and welfare programs, plays far too large a role in determining who succeeds and who fails in our society. This government “benevolence” crowds out genuine goodwill between men by institutionalizing group thinking, thus making each group suspicious that others are receiving more of the government loot. This leads to resentment and hostility between us.”
I believe he is the one who will Remove Reverse discrimination against Asian American and White, please help Ron Paul and help Asian American
As a Asian American, you have to score 200 more in SAT in order to get into same Univ as Black,
Support Ron Paul to remove Reverse discrimination

A DISCUSSION SHOULD OPENLY ENSUE ON THE FOLLOWING CONTRADICTION:
Attorney General Thurbert Baker’s Staff member (Assistant Communications Director) has no allegiance to THE LAW and is apparently exempt from abiding.
I support your organization 100%!!! I hope that you will address “Tom Politicians” like Thurbert Baker. The stance he took on Genarlow Wilson is incomprehensible and he should continue to be held accountable. Black Leaders should demand that this Attorney General resign immediately!!! I am hopeful that a Petition will be initiated to this end—as there are countless African-Americans that want this Tom OUT-OF-OFFICE!
The most appalling part is that Thurbert Baker took such a strong stance in the Genarlow Wilson case—thereby leaving this young man in jail. AND YET, Thurbert Baker has as his ASSISTANT COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR AND PERSONAL SPOKESPERSON a woman who does NOT abide by The Law! And who was Arrested just last year on FELONY CHARGES of Aggravated Stalking, while employed as his personal spokesperson (Fulton Co. Jail Booking Number 0626660) and she is now being investigated by the State Ethics Commission of GA for possible violation of the Ethics in Gov’t Act! So THE LAW that Thurbert Baker claims to uphold—apparently does not apply to his STAFF MEMBERS! Attorney General Thurbert Baker still employs this woman and to add further insult had this woman with him at the release of Genarlow Wilson press conference as his communications representative/i.e. spokesperson!!!! What a Hypocrite! And, the public should know this!

What an awesome site. You inspire me to dig deeper behind each story I read or hear about. Your blog draws me closer to many a story. Very similar to npr you awaken the hidden desire in all us of to be “in the know” and then provoke us to make a more informed decision concerning our new found knowledge.
P.S.
What are your thoughts about the 16yr old AA girl being arrested by a white police officer. Hum. the tv reporter, as I watched in horror, suggested the girl attacked the police officer. This could be true since she had one arm locked behind her back by the officer, being punced and eventually being mased by him. No doubt her trying to bite him may have provoked him to use his mase. Gosh, I musta been difficult for him being 200 plus pounds and she being probably 115lb.
Not to exclude the officer’s department head, they(police dept) will drop all charges against the girl.

I see the kid was wearing a buttonup shirt,he should become a skinhead, that would really piss them off, nothing like a black child selebrating some of his roots. Their needs to be another skinhead revolt, we need more blacks in the skinhead culture to stomp out this racist stereotype.

you should have a section on skinheads and how they arn’t the racial gaybashing white supremacists the news says they are, their is some confusion between white supremocists and skinheads for some reason, I am a white skinhead that is for sure not a racist. I have black friends that are skinheads, they and I too get offended when a group of Neo-Nazis bash a black man then the news calls them skinheads. we as a skinhead culture are on the constiant fight for racial unity and for us real skinheads to be assumed racist, is somthing that is getting in the way. if you yourself being black didn’t know that skinheads were first blacks and whites fighting for racial unity read up on it. http://www.skinheadnation.co.uk

Hey Skeptic I notice you didn’t reply to julian qian’s comment, its a great point that to eliminate racism you can’t just take the black side, you have to take everyones side, because blacks are not the only ones who are opressed, me as a white teenager I run into discrimination everywhere, at school I was called a “white boy” infront of a staffmember nothing was done,if i would have dropped the N bomb, or call someone a beaner, I would have been expelled, or agest is a big factor in my life, every one doing the “well your too young” l was talking to a guy that was sum 30 years old on the city bus, and even he agrees I have had more experiance with life then him or a few of his friends have. you need to take acton against prejudice in general, not just racial prejudice.

Good photo at the top of your new web page today.
Yesterday I found your weblog, while searching US and other sites about the Obama phenomenon. Yeah, I’m a Canadian and have no vote. But as a citizen of the world, I care.
You write so well and I’m learning a lot from what you say. Thanks! I’ll check out your blog regularly.
Best,
Catherine Beck

If Alveda King is not a “legitimate King,” does that make her dad, Rev. A. D. King a bastard?
I don’t believe you’re a black person even though you are trying to fake and manipulation people with your malicious comments. You also obvious have no respect for yourself or the King family to make your disrespectful comments or to Christian people as well but God said vengence is His and you will pay for the vileness or your words - just as Pharoah opened his mouth and brought God’s judgement on himself and his people, you will see it the same for yourself.

I love this blog, baby. Here’s a little sumptin’ sumptin’ for you enlightened brothers and sisters out there. Here’s a clip of the Richard Pryor show when he did the first black president state of the union. For all you Negrodamus-type individuals check out all the uncanny references (notice the cities mentioned from the reporters) to Obama, listen to Richards’ speech pattern.

You seen this:
“First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.
Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.”

I, for one, think it’s awful the way Rev Wright is being treated. He is a well educated man, served in the Marines for six years and ran the Trinity Church with dignity and integrity. Why is he being treated like dirt? And just today I read that Obama has denounced Rev. Wright. I cannot believe Obama would do that after what Rev Wright has done for him; married him and his wife and baptized their children. Obama is just
following the orders given to him by his campaign so that he can win the presidency. I was going to vote for Obama but I have changed my mind after he has denounced Rev Wright. Obama has proven that he is for himself and couldn’t care less about his church. Rev. Wright is too smart for these people that hate him. Much too smart.
Stay in there Rev Wright and don’t let anyone
tell you to shut up.

Hey, check this out. The Son of Man, the leader and teacher of the New Nation of Islam, speaks about Barack Obama, and why he should or should not become the president of the United States.
