“Harold’s experience, enthusiasm and perspective make him a valuable addition to our management team,” said Mr. Fleming. “We look forward to his contributions to Merrill Lynch’s business development efforts and expect to benefit greatly from his government experience and personal insight as we address the public policy implications of our various business activities over the next few years.”

WTF? I thought he was the HNIC at the DLC?

Well from what I’ve read, he has expensive personal tastes that require a big salary. I think this is an appropriate fit.

    I ain’t hatin’

  2. D,

The DLC is his political gig. Merrill Lynch is his real job. This gig is the schmooze with corporate whitey gig. The kinda gig that will allow him to accumulate a millionaire’s net worth and connect him with a network of wealthy republicans that don’t mind financing a Democrat for Governor or Senate.

I was LMAO when I saw the headline pop up as the blog came into view.

I was wondering when you’d get around to this story. I thought you had missed it.

Gotta hand it to the Dark Sith. Gets to remain in the political game, all the while getting paid (off)😉

PS- thank you for no more Anna Nicole coverage. Leave that mess to others. Much appreciated.🙂

Edwards was w/ the Fortress Investment Grp. Chelsea took a job with a hedge fund outfit. The Street is putting major money into Giuliani, Clinton, McCain presidential campaigns.

Expect to see a lot of Jr in the future. He’s marked as an up-and-comer.

    I hear ya, Renee.

But again, I’m gonna give him a hat tip for at least ackowledging that perhaps his gree … um… lifestyle and ambitions are best suited for the corporate world.

I was relieved to see that Senator Obama brought some cheddar from his book sales to supplement his Senate salary. I give him major points for that move. Maintaining all that’s required for public service in Washington is very difficult and expensive, especially for a man with young children.

It becomes very problematic when pimps with no money come to the public sector with an inflated sense of entitlement and champagne & caviar tastes. Trust me on this one.

That said, I ain’t hatin’ on this man. Glad he knows it’s better to buy a Brioni suits with his own cash flow than his campaign coffers.
