George Betta Shop Around

SHOP AROUND (For Another A.G.)

sung to the tune of Smokie Robinson’s shop around, traditional arrangement

Just because you’ve become an unpopular President now
There’s still some things that you don’t understand now
Before you show Alberto’s ass the door now
Make up your mind as fast as you can now
My mama told me you better shop around ( for another A.G. )

There’s some things that I want you to know now
Just as sure as the wind’s gonna blow now
Democrats are itchin for a pretext to impeach your can and send Karl to jail now
Before you tell someone else to join the Admin now
My mama told me you better shop around (For another A.G.)

Try to get yourself a bargain, boy
Don’t be sold on a wingnut one
Good-looking guys come a dime a dozen
Try to find you one who’s gonna give you true lovin’ and fall on his sword

Before you take a man and say I do now
Make sure he’s in love with your B.S.  now
Make sure that his love for torture and coverups is true now
I hate to see you disgraced and discredited now (by Karl spilling the beans)
My mama told me you better shop around (for another A.G.)

Oh, it’s so good to see you back posting again.

This is hilarious and on point.

in honor of pro-torture “Abu” Gonzalez, sung to The Marcel’s Blue Moon:

    Bomp-baba-bomp. dip-da-dip,
    Abu, Abu, Abu
    Bomp-baba-bomp, Abu, Abu, Abu

    Bush left you standing alone
Without a dream in your heart
Without a job of your own

I was wondering if he’d been assimilated 🙂

Then I figured it was just a lasagna, wine, and a skeptical lady kinda weekend.

  4. At this point, Bush might as well get a liberal AG because anyone else will be replaced in ’08. No need to fight the losing battle. It’s time for Republicans to be smart and mitigate their damages.

The problem is, with his extremely secretive executive branch and questionable constitutional stance on issues such as wire tapping and prisoners over-seas, a liberal AG could make for more trouble than he’s worth.

  5. youngblackman,

Ain’t gotta worry about him nominating a liberal. Down with Tyranny seems to think the Federalist Society wingnuts got veto power on the next A.G. Look for somebody who can easily be confirmed. By the way, I blogged about your Mississippi experience.
