I have to admit that it gave me a chuckle or two. 🙂

They are looking to blogs for ideas. The past three days people have come to my blog searching for “magical negro obama.” I know I’m not the only person who wrote about that, but whoever it was blew my numbers up looking for whatever I wrote about magical negro.

    yogo —

First thing I thought of when I saw the Magical Negro op-ed in the LA Times is that y’all need to get paid for these ideas.

You know what else? I’ve been getting a lot of hits for anything I write about Obama. They search for specific words and phrases I write, and I bet they steal my jokes. They’re very repetitive searches now. Harvesting, maybe.

I made a comment awhile ago on a NYTimes article and some quotes that were attributed to him. They were searching for my comments on that article and his specific words I had a problem with. Must have been 40-50 searches on certain words and phrases I used. So it’s not just that people are searching for stuff about Obama, they are searching for specific things I write about Obama.

I don’t get it. Today I got none of those “magic+negro+obama” or “yogo+magic+obama” searches. Gone like magic.

    Sorry to threadjack.

    well, well.

The creator of the video is someone from Blue State Digital — which happens to be the outfit in charge of Obama’s internet outreach.

we have learned the video was the work of Philip de Vellis, who was the Internet communications director for Sherrod Brown’s 2006 Senate campaign, and who now works at Blue State Digital, a company created by members of Howard Dean’s Internet Team.

Obama’s camp claims no connection to this, of course, which makes me wonder–who’s running things over there? I just wrote on my blog that Obama is more like the Manchurian Candidate, not the Magic Negro.

I found it amusing that the audience consisted entirely of middle-aged white men. 😀

Well—it was just the Apple commercial from 1984 with Hillary superimposed over the original Big Brother video. Kind of hard to change that more than 20 years after it was filmed.
